Clinical Supervision & Consultation

I am committed to providing a safe, supportive, and confidential space for individuals seeking guidance to licensure.  As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2001in Nevada and a Board-approved clinical supervisor since 2013, one of the most rewarding aspects of supervising interns is the opportunity to witness personal and professional growth. I also get to contribute to the profession by sharing the knowledge I’ve gained through many years of experience working in various inpatient and outpatient treatment settings and continuing collaborative relationships in the Las Vegas mental health community.

Models

I often integrate multiple supervision models tailored to the needs of the supervisee, with a goal to enhance optimal learning for and to assist with professional goal achievement. The primary goals and expectations will be to focus on target areas listed:

Clinical Competence

Ensuring that interns and licensed professionals develop the skills needed to effectively assess, diagnose, and treat clients.

Ethical Practice

Helping interns and licensed professionals navigate ethical dilemmas and maintain compliance with legal and professional standards.

Professional Identity & Development

Supporting interns and licensed professionals as they build confidence in their role as clinicians and develop a strong sense of professional identity.

Preparation for Licensure

Ensuring interns meet all necessary requirements for licensure, including required board hours of supervision and competency in core areas.

Clinical Supervision & Consultation

Interns: Supervision for CSW, MFT, and CPC interns to guide the licensure process and ensure clinical standards are met to achieve professional goals. Approved Clinical Supervisor for Board of Examiners for Social Workers and Approved Secondary Clinical Supervisor for Board of Examiners for Marriage & Family Therapy and Clinical Professional Counselors.

Individual supervision to discuss cases, reflect on their clinical practice, and receive direct feedback. Interns will also address areas of focus to gain skills, meet core competency to prepare for ASWB test completion, and experience a personalized learning experience throughout internship journey.

Group supervision allows interns to present cases, discuss clinical challenges, and learn from each other’s experiences. This allows interns to deepen their understanding of various clinical approaches and allows for diverse perspectives.

Licensed Clinicians: Ongoing professional development and case consultation for licensed therapists seeking support, mentorship, and advancement in clinical skills. Areas of focus can also include practice management consultation and clinical practice development for those seeking to expand specialties and clinical opportunities in a private practice setting.
